Ballymoney Exhibition Closed

GLIMMER OF LIFE

The ephemeral beauty of nature is at once attractive and poignant. We copy it, trying vainly to tie it down, constrain it, acquire it, yet it evades our grasp, always just out of reach, indefinable and evanescent.

To be able to appreciate beauty, however fleeting or fragile, is a gift worth having.

Similarly, sometimes loved ones are taken from us. While I have tried to capture the fleeting essence of a flower through my art, the recent passing of loved ones has left an image forever in my heart.
This exhibition is dedicated to the memory of three members of my family who died too young: my cousins Emma and Timothy and my aunt Sandra. “As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone”.
